Are you working to have a creative practice in your life or to regularly schedule time for artistic, inspiring activities that feed your soul? If so, I think that's absolutely great. But what happens on the days when you don't feel like doing the creative work? What happens when the intrinsic motivation that you usually get from participating in your creative activity isn't a strong enough reason to make you want to get out of bed in the morning? Trust the Feeling

It’s 2021, so we know from mental health experts that we SHOULD NOT believe everything we think.  Sometimes our thoughts are WRONG. Sometimes it’s just anxiety rearing its ugly little head again.  But, since it’s 2021, we also know the importance of trusting that gut instinct. Connecting with our body. Not ignoring that 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 that just won’t go away.  So, while it’s true that thoughts aren’t always things . . . sometimes they are. And today, we’re saying, trust the feeling.  Good or bad, you know what you know. Listen to yourself. And believe yourself.  Then dance it out (or in).#dancingcolorfully#dancedazedanceboards

Life Is An Experiment

We’re always testing and experimenting. We try on clothes, we try out new phrases (like “STAN” - 𝙒𝙝𝙮 is that a thing, Gen Z?! 🤣), we hang out with different friends, and we buy a random brand of jeans. An experiment is defined as “a scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact.” It’s not always that we’re always performing, as if on stage. It’s that we’re always trying to find the best fit—like those friends, those jeans, those words in our vernacular.
